I hope you have had a glorious week – I spent it dealing with two broken fingers – not mine, but one each for two of my kids. (So far #3 is doing fine…). It was my first broken bone as a parent – and it’s interesting to deal with doctors, casts and x-rays. Luckily everyone is doing fine and should be perfectly healed in just a few weeks.
In the meantime, I am busy at work on Book 5 in the Queensbay series – Tory’s story….I don’t have any teasers ready yet – but I can tell you that there’s a new guy in town and he has the cutest Southern accent.
But since it’s Friday and who doesn’t love some fun AND a giveaway…we’re going to do out Friday Literary Trivia contest. Last week’s answer was Hamlet and I’ll be sending out a bottle of maple syrup to the winner soon.
Today’s Trivia Contest
Ok, so are you ready for today’s literary trivia? The winner will get an autographed copy of Dinner for Two and a $5 Starbuck’s gift card, for the perfect mini getaway.
Here’s the question:
A 19-month old baby was dying in a British hospital, her condition baffling the doctor’s until a nurse noticed that the patient’s symptoms were remarkably like those of an infant in the detective novel, The Pale Horse. The doctor’s tested and sure enough, just like the fictional infant, the real life patient had thallium poisoning. With the proper treatment, the patient recovered. Who was the author of The Pale Horse?
Put your answer in the comment section below – Hey – make sure you guess before you look! And a winner will be selected randomly from among the correct answers. Good luck!
