Happy Friday! It’s that wonderful time of the week when you get to take a deep breath, relax and look forward to the weekend. Or in my case to soccer and lots of it! It’s been a great week – strangely warm, but now the weather is back to fall-like norms and everyone is getting very excited about Halloween.
I’ve had a fun week working on Book 5 of the Queensbay series and for those of you eagerly awaiting Tory’s story it’s coming along. I won’t say much except that it has fast cars and a Southern bad boy in it who just oozes charm…
In the meantime, it’s time for Friday Trivia Fun for all of you fan.…Congrats to all of you who answered last week’s question. It was a bit of a tricky one as the answer was supposed to be the best selling novel, not book of all time, which meant that the Bible wasn’t what we were looking for. The answer then would be either Don Quixote or A Tale of Two Cities. Why two? Well according to the all magical internet, Don Quixote is believed to be the best selling novel but doesn’t have the documentation to prove it, so A Tale of Two Cities is the more accepted answer. Congrats to all who answered correctly.
Get’em Hook, Line and Sinker
For today’s contest, the subject is famous openings – because really, what else matters. If a book doesn’t hook you from the get go, you’re probably not going to get into it. We’re playing for books and coffee – an autographed copy of Dinner for Two (Hey – the ebook is still free on Amazon and Barnes & Noble) and a $5 gift card to Starbucks. A winner will be randomly selected from the correct answers. So good luck…
Guess the book this opening line is from and put your answer in the comment below – remember – guess first:
What book does this sentence open: It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.
